Neptune in Aries

Mundane Astrology

Neptune will move into Aries, Changes Ahead

Neptune has a special relationship with Aries. 178 years ago, at the time of Neptune’s discovery, Neptune was at 25 degrees of Aquarius (conjunct Saturn), sextiling Pluto at 25 degrees of Aries, forming a Yod Aspect with Mars in Virgo, also at 25 degrees! As per degree theory in astrology, every degree is associated with a zodiac sign, in cycles of twelve. Aries is associated with 25 degrees.

Mars, ruler of Aries, at the apex of this Yod configuration, is the key planet of this aspect. Apex planets in Yod aspects represent where our focus should be, pointing out to the resolution of the challenges. It is a rather unpredictable aspect, like a piece of modern art, open to interpretation - you either love it or hate it. Your perception of it forms the outcome.

Yod is a rare aspect pattern where two planets are 60 degrees away from each other and the third planet forms 150 degrees with each of the two planets (60+150+150=360). An exact Yod, in this case, is even rarer.

Referring back to the chart of Neptune’s discovery in 1846, Neptune’s visionary, transcendental qualities is highlighted by Mars’ action oriented energy. Mars is acting as a gateway to facilitate Neptune’s mission.

Neptune’s ingress into Aries in 2025 holds the key to this special bond between these two planets. On the one hand, Martian energy will be the catalyst for achieving Neptunian ideals; dissolving boundaries, pursuing ideals; on the other hand, we will be forced to take a grounded approach towards our disillusionments and confront past deceptions.
